SeaDriveCX impresses at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024

September 29, 2024

Just four months after the first prototype was introduced on board Motor Yacht Loon, attendees at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show were dazzled by the SeaDriveCX that our client Off the Deck presented at the event.

This week saw Hooper Quinn back in the Mediterranean with our clients Off the Deck to showcase the SeaDriveCX to prospective customers at the greatest superyacht meet-up in the world.

The SeaDriveCX drew smiles and exhilarated intakes of breath as yacht-owners, captains, crew, and tech-lovers alike gravitated towards it, lining up throughout the event to take a swing at some of the on board courses and games.

To prepare for the event, our Buckingham facility was a hive of activity as the mechanical, electrical, software and build teams worked relentlessly through long nights to ensure that the unit impressed.

In the face of significant engineering challenges, our team rose to the occasion and built this exceptionally complex machine in an astonishingly short time.

The hard work paid off and SeaDriveCX more than stood up to the test, come wind, rain, intense sun and cool night…

With so much new marine-based technology being showcased across the event, we made some great new contacts who were interested in the capabilities of our related engineering divisions, principally concerning electric powertrains and other advanced technologies.

Apparently impressed by the aesthetics and functionality of the SeaDriveCX, as well as the speed with which it has been developed, a number of expressed an eagerness to engage Hooper Quinn on their upcoming projects. Here are a few technologies that caught our eye:
